About this retreat

Amritapuri is the international headquarters of Mata Amritanandamayi Math and a residential spiritual community in Kerala. The official visitor information welcomes Indian and international guests who register through the appropriate accommodation process and carry the required identification. Visitors may participate in the daily rhythm of chanting, meditation, seva, bhajans, study, puja, and other scheduled activities. Accommodation is simple and Indian-style meals are provided. Amma's travel and darshan schedule can change, so visitors should verify current availability rather than assuming she will be present.

Teachers and tradition

The community follows Mata Amritanandamayi's teachings. Her presence and darshan schedule are not guaranteed and should be checked immediately before travel.

Accessibility

Rooms are described as simple and generally include an attached bathroom, but a full accessibility statement was not found. Contact accommodation staff before travel.
