Panchamrit

Panchamrit or Panchamrutam is the combination of five healthy components such as milk, curd, honey, sugar and ghee. During Pooja time, this sacred item is giving to God and after that it is distributed to the devotees as Prasad. Each of the item used to prepare Panchamrit has different benefits. In our body, there is existing seven tissues or Sapta dhatu such as Shukra dhatu, Majja dhatu, Asthi dhatu, Meda dhatu, Mamsa dhatu and Rasa dhatu. While serving Panchamrit, increasing immunity power and body strength. In Mahabharata mythology, there is a description of Panchamrit, it was emerged during Samudra Manthan also called Ksheera Sagar Manthan. If the ingredients for preparing Panchamrit are used in correct proportions, people will get healthy benefits such as increasing immunity power and brain development. Ayurveda says, serving Panchamrit for nine months of pregnancy is best. Using honey and ghee will ease digestive problems and it symbolises unity and symbol of success and wisdom. Through that one can prevent acidity and gas. In some places, while preparing Panchamrit cardamom, basil leaves, cloves, mace and nutmeg are used. Because these are also very essential and important for health. Nutmeg is used to control anxiety and will get a relief from depression. It is also a best medicine for respiratory obstacles and helps is cleansing the kidney. Mainly it is best for kidney stones and functions. Basil leaves are good for fever, cold and malaria and it helps to control sugar level in our body. Mace helps to increase brain development and best medicine for digestive problems and helps in depleting joint pains. Cloves is also known as Heavenly Flower because of the exotic fragrance. Cloves are best for toothache and oral infections. Cardamom is best for skin care and improvement of memory.People will get sudden relief from pain and helpful in relaxation of mind. While using Milk will give a cooling effect to the body and it is the symbol of devotion and purity. Curd symbolises advancement and good life. Consuming Panchamrit is balancing Pitta dosha and it is also good for males to increase sexual potency.
